We have personally tested these high performance cast pistons in a L20b and they perform better than other brands. These lightweight pistons will wake up your old tired L-series engine and make it rev up quick. These pistons have been designed for stock HP applications and have thinner rings to reduce friction and improve HP and gas mileage. The Skirts have a wider profile to increase stability at high RPM's The pistons have an accumulator groove between the first and second ring. The Wrist pins are hardened steel with 3mm walls to reduce weight while maintaining all the strength needed for high reving engines. The piston and wrist pin weigh approx. 485 grams (90grams less than stock)We Also have high performance cast pistons that are designed to handle twice the chamber pressure than stock applications. Comes with ductile iron rings perfect for race applications and can easily handle up to 300hp. If you plan to use nitrous or low boost you can use high performance Honda rings found in this bore size. No need to special order rings and pay an arm and a leg!!!!An accumulator groove helps to reduce ring flutter which in turns reduces engine blow by. The groove helps to create a better seal for the top and second ring. Less blow by of combustion gases = more horse power and less wear and tear on the rings.
