This is an aftermarket replacementCarburetor Fuel Inlet Seat for all Corvair, Nash, Corvette, and marine engines with Carter YH side draft carbs. It is a special duty performance off-road piece, but works great on road to help eliminate fuel drips from over-pressurization and vapor lock. It is touted to hold twice the pressure of a stock unit, but I only have anecdotal information from users that it is an improvement. This is the style seat that was originally in the 1953-1954 Corvette YH side draft carbs, but found popularity with off-roaders for their dune buggies and boat owners to compensate for the bouncing on water. They are sized at .101", so they will work on all Carter YH carbs. If you buy a "generic" one, it might or might not solve your problem if it is not sized correctly, because the size affects the pressure and flow rate. The unit includes a new compressible rubber coated metal gasket, viton-tipped inlet needle (ethanol-proof), spring and insert for the needle. I opened one for a picture.
