This bracket is made to fit the Shorrock kit to a 1275cc A Series.
The original Shorrock bracket will not fit the 1275cc as it was designed to fit the 948/1098cc A Series. The 1275cc head/block is taller than the 948/1098 so the supercharger sits higher on the engine, the 948/1098 bracket will sit higher so the two timing chain cover mounting holes on the bracket will not line up.
I made a batch of these a long while ago, I have been asked many times if I would make some more...so I\'ve made a small batch, it will probably be the last so don\'t miss out.
Laser cut 6mm steel plate an exact copy from steel front c75b support bracket supplied in the Sprite, Minor, A40 etc Shorrock supercharger kits.
I offer an optional additional drilled holes in the bracket to mount the belt tensioner I can supply, the belt tensioner is essential for ensuring correct tension. Too much tension and the rotor bearings wear prematurely, which could cause severedamage to the c75b. Too loose and the belts slip with loss of boost.
Pleasemessage meif you require the additional belt tensioner holes and/or the belt tensioner.
I offer the bracket in 2 forms, one with the drilled lower mounting holes and one without.The reason is that A series engines differ in the height of the block and head depending on which engine cc you have and which head, so the lower mounting bracket holes often don\'t line up as the head/block heights change but the hole position didn\'t, so I offer a bracket that the purchaser can drill the holes when the kit is trial mounted on the engine.
I do not recommend elongating the holes, as the ability to firmly hold the c75b in position is compromised.
Drilling the holes once the kit is mounted also helps with lining up the inlet manifold.

I\'ve tried aluminium for these brackets but unfortunatelyit doesn\'t provide the stability required to hold the c75b and the belt drive, especiallywhen the engine is under load.
