The P Zero Corsa (PZC4) is Pirelli's Streetable Track & Competition tire developed using knowledge gained from years of Formula 1 racing experience and designed for some of the highest performing vehicles on the road. Introduced as Original Equipment on the Ferrari F12tdf and McLaren 570GT and 570S, the P Zero Corsa (PZC4) is for drivers looking foron-track capability plus the ability to drive to and from the track.
Pirelli molds the PZero Corsa (PZC4) tire into twoside-by-sideuniquely motorsport-derived high grade carbon black tread compounds, for a low-void asymmetric design. This molding technique allows for the formation of aninner shoulder compound capable of achieving a much higher speed road-holding grip. The resultant of this comprehensive mold is a tire rubber outer-shoulder compound that's focused on supreme-ultimate-performance, directly addressing and thus greatly ameliorating tire wear for this class of UHP tire, all the while remaining consistent at high temperatures and high tire-stress environments, that's typically encountered during aggressive road-course driving,
The asymmetric tread pattern prioritizes ultimate dry performance, with large outboard tread blocks and a nearly solid center rib to deliver responsive ultimate handling performance, with impressive lateral "G" acceleration and traction at high speeds. The continuous inner rib and increased stiffness in the inboard shoulder design provide quick steering response and a streamlined tread pattern and profile akin to Pirelli Wet F1 Mediums.
To further this, the three wide circumferential tire grooves aid in hydroplaning resistance. Nonetheless, with tread depths of 8/32" or less, and a dry-focused tread pattern, wet high-speed driving where standing water is present will increase the risk of hydroplaning with this type Ultimate High Performance Summer Tire. The internal construction features a Formula 1-style, high strength, high-stiffness bead with an elastic property that allows it to give considerably without breaking for consistent responsive handling, with an accent onride quality,tire durability and uniformity.
