This is an Original GM aluminum intake for a Big Block Chevy engine with retangular port heads and a Holley carb. The casting number is 3885069. The 3885069 intake was used by GM on the following applications: 1966-early 1968 L78 396/375HP and 1966-early 1968 L72 427/425HP. The "069" intake was also the replacement for the 1965 3866693 intake. This intake has a casting date of 8/25/65. The casting date is on the underside of the intake and cannot be seen when installed. These original 3885069 intakes are getting very hard to find in nice condition. Don't miss this one.
This intake is in very good condition. It is in bare aluminum finish with no paints or coatings. It looks more like a piece of jewelry than a mechanical part. The part number, firing order, and infamous Winter's foundry snowflake logo are intact and undisturbed as shown. All threads are in good condition with no helicoils or thread inserts. The cooling ports are free of corrosion. The intake ports are very nice with no porting. This is an awesome factory high performance intake.
