There is no paint or coatings on th intake. It's just bare clean aluminum.
Here's a very nice intake. Offenhauser 6257 fit the amc 258 6 cylinder engine. There are no cracks, welds, or extra holes. Threads are in great shape. There is no porting. The only modification was that there was a little material ground off of the outside of the mid ports as shown in the pics 20 and 21 to clear the accessory bracket. Not alot of material was removed, just wanted to let you know. I don't hide things like this. Vaccum or water ports were cleaned completly and lower plugs were reinstalled. Please look at the pics. New from Summit these are over 800.00. Intake has been cleaned, checked for flatness and is ready to go on your hotrod!!
