Up for sale is a Offenhauser #1077 intake manifold that fits 1949-1953 ford flathead v8 engines. The production date cast into the manifold is 1996 so it’s relatively modern.
The intake suffered a bit of damage to the rear water pipe socket but it was professionally repaired (the crack was ground out, cleaned, welded, etc) so the inside diameter of the pipe socket is unchanged.
It was also slightly modified by the previous owner in regard to the rear mounting tab, behind the water pipe socket. It has been slightly shaved down to a narrower profile. What they were trying to achieve is unclear but in spite of those 2 issues, it’s in good condition.
All of the mounting holes are intact with no cracks or damage/repairs. The gasket surfaces are clean with no signs of coolant corrosion and the machined surfaces are flat.
Originally this was mated with a trio of Stromberg carbs but that setup was pulled out for a larger, injected V8.
