The internal rod seals of these actuatorsare composed of polyurethane, which has a 5-year shelf life—at best. Putpolyurethane seals into a vehicle that’s exposed to all sorts of environmentalconditions—and it’s a wonder the seals last as long as they do.

The hydraulic cylinder bolts at both ends, but MUST have the 'knob' midway on the cylinder in the groove on the outboard side of the cylinder. The potentiometer arm must be positioned between the cylinder and that groove. The potentiometer arm is a slotted thin metal bar that slides as the top in raised and lowered and controls the positioning of the top and its components. - eBay user mandep1432
