GS300, GS400, GS430 Gauge Pod Home Link
This 3D printed part goes in the home link section of the dome light trim. Designed to fit a 52mm or 2 1/16 gauge. This replaces the cover that holds the garage door opener. This will work on any second generation GS300, GS400 or GS430 it will not work on any other year car.
This listing is only for the 3D printed part. It doesn't come with the gauges or any interior trim.
Installation is simple but requires you to go slow. The map light trim needs to be removed for installation. Once the map light trim is out you remove the garage door opener trim and replace it with this. This design has large tabs on the front and small tabs in the back that hold it in place. You can't push the front and rear tabs in at the same time. The large tabs go in first then the small tabs. Put the design on an angle and insert the large tabs. Once the large tabs are inserted slowly push down the design until it's flush. If you push down on the design too hard or too quickly you can break the small tabs. When the small tabs are in the design can be slid into its final position.If your gauge has a very large depth some trimming may be needed on the interior trim for clearance.
I designed this with a 52.5mm hole for the gauge. Not all gauges are 52mm be sure to test fit your gauge DO NOT JUST PRESS IT IN. If you feel heavy resistance inserting the gauge the design will need sanding or you have a gauge larger than 52mm. Gauges are designed to fit snug so you don't have any rattles or noises. I've found that the lower end gauges are either larger or smaller than 52mm. If your gauge is too loose add a layer of tape until it fits.
Made out of ABS plastic the same material most of the interior plastic is made of. This is a raw 3D printed part you will see small lines from being made. The part can be sanded and painted and you won't see any lines.
