Consult your vehicle owner's manual,service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.

AIR STRUT REMOVAL

1.SET STEERING TO STRAIGHT AHEAD.

2.RAISE VEHICLE.

3.REMOVE FRONT LEFT WHEEL. (FIGURE 1)

4.DISCONNECT THE AIR LINE FROM THE STRUT. (FIGURES 2, 3)

5.DISCONNECT AND UNROUTE THE TWO (2) ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS TO THE STRUT. (FIGURES 4, 5)

6.DISCONNECT THE CONTROL ARM SPINDLE FROM WHEEL CARRIER ASSEMBLY. (FIGURES 6, 7)

7.REMOVE THE SWAY BAR END LINK NUT AND DISCONNECT THE END LINK. (FIGURES 8, 9)

8.REMOVE THE BOLT FROM THE BOTTOM STRUT CLEVIS MOUNT. (FIGURES 10, 11)

9.REMOVE THE CLEVIS MOUNT PINCH BOLT TO FREE THE STRUT BOTTOM MOUNT. (FIGURES 12, 13)

10.REMOVE THE LOWER CLEVIS MOUNT FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE STRUT. (FIGURE 14)

11.LOCATE AND REMOVE THE THREE (3) STRUT TOP MOUNT BOLTS. (FIGURES 15, 16)

12.REMOVE THE LOWER CLEVIS MOUNT FROM THE BOTTOM IF THE STRUT. (FIGURE 17)

13.REMOVAL COMPLETE.

*InstallationGuideline:

1. PREP THE NEW AIR STRUT FOR INSTALLATION BY REMOVING THE SILVER THREADED SHIPPING PLUG,

INSTALLING THE PROVIDED VOSS FITTING, AND REMOVING THE WHITE SHIPPING PIN. (FIGURES 18, 19, 20, 21)

2.ALIGN THE LOWER CLEVIS MOUNT ON TO THE LOWER MOUNT OF THE NEW STRUT. (FIGURE 22)

3.INSTALL THE NEW ARNOTT STRUT ON TO THE VEHICLE. (FIGURE 23)

4.INSTALL THE THREE (3) TOP MOUNT BOLTS. TIGHTEN TO MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS. (FIGURE 24)

5. INSTALL THE CLEVIS MOUNT PINCH BOLT AND TIGHTEN TO MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS.

6. INSTALL THE BOTTOM MOUNT STRUT BOLT. TIGHTEN TO MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS.

7. INSTALL THE SWAY BAR END LINK NUT AND TIGHTEN TO MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS.

8.RECONNECT THE CONTROL ARM SPINDLE TO THE WHEEL CARRIER ASSEMBLY. TIGHTEN TO

MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS. (FIGURES 30, 31)

9.CONNECT AND ROUTE THE STRUT ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS. (FIGURES 32, 33)

10.PREPARE AIR LINE BY REMOVING OLD VOSS FITTING USING THE FIGURE BELOW AS AN EXAMPLE.

11.INSERT AIR LINE INTO STRUT VOSS FITTING. PRESS AIR LINE IN FIRMLY UNTIL IT IS SEATED.
