TheRefinishing Process
Our reconditioningprocess starts with a good wheel ?core?.Large quantities of cosmetically blemished and damaged wheel ?cores? arepurchased from vendors all over the world.Our specially trained staff carefully identifies and separates the coreswith visual structural damage from those with cosmetic damage. Cores are then chemically stripped of theirfinish and the raw aluminum casting is inspected for hidden structural damage.The remaining cores are either reconditioned immediately or warehoused as acore until you place your order.
All painted wheelfinishes are computer color-matched for accuracy and cataloged for futureuse. Depending on the manufacturer andwheel style, 0-3 layers of OEM primer are applied to the raw aluminumcore. Automotive paint or powder-coat isapplied over the primer when applicable.Or in the case of polished finishes, the wheel cores are mechanicallypolished to like new condition. Finally, powder coat clear is applied over theentire wheel surface.
