Broken Center Console Armrests
I thought I was in need of buying a whole new center console when the arm rest portion broke & caved in. This simply installed piece returned my console to brand new! I recommend this piece even for consoles that haven't broke because of the added strength added. According to different forum boards, broken arm rest plastic is a very common issue. Less than $20 and a 5 minute installation, even for a novice, this addition is highly recommendable.I thought I was in need of buying a whole new center console when the arm rest portion broke & caved in. Inexpensive console repair
1/3 the price of others. Great product. Fit snugly. I bought my truck used and the console was already broken on it. I had to add some more foam as when the original lid broke, the plastic hole left rubbed against the foam and it deteriorated. When I added the replacement, it still had a depression in it. I added another layer of foam and pushed the metal replacement in. Right now, it's tight enough that I didn't have to add the screws and the armrest feels well padded and sturdy.1/3 the price of others. Great product. Fit snugly. Feels Solid
arrived in a timely fashion, new, as advertised. didn't quite fit into the lid, it needed a slight bend. i think the pop rivets are a bit too long, i swapped them for a set half that length. i also fitted some washers on the ends to help with rivet retention. i also dumped a full tube set of JB weld on top of that to make fuller contact with the lid top.
