A fantastic upgrade to Sync 3. Make sure your software is up to date (easy) and replace this module and it is like a brand new vehicle from a technology perspective. Sync 3 had been dropping apps and I was going crazy trying to figure it out (lost Waze). With this simple upgrade to Apple Carplay, Waze and a bunch of other stuff (including Carplay able to read you your texts and respond back to them hands free) a major upgrade.A fantastic upgrade to Sync 3. I ordered this as a replacement usb hub for my 2016 F150 in order to get Apple Carplay as I had read that this hub would be required. The part worked exactly as promised and once I downloaded the new software update from Ford which is also required it gave me full Apple Carplay functionality in my dash. The price I paid for this hub is no comparison to other hubs I saw online which were way more expensive. Highly recommended! USB Module Worked Great in Ford Flex
After my local Ford dealer had me sit for 3 hours and then told me I had to come back so they could open up the dash, I knew something wasn't right with them. With no tools I pulled out the current USB module, found that the USB cord behind it had power, and went inside to order this part. When it quickly arrived a few days later it took 1 minute to plug in and instantly restored by USB charging and Android Auto functions on my 2019 Flex. After my local Ford dealer had me sit for 3 hours and then told me I had to come back so they could open up the dash, I knew something wasn't right with them. Worked well
Very easy to install. Took like two minutes after watched you tube video. I have 2015 F-150 with sync 3 but it was built before Apple car play was made available in F-150. I was unsure if I would need to update my sync from version 2.2 to make it work. But it worked as soon as I switched out the USB part here
