Pretty solid
Pretty easy to install, fitment was practically spot on, welds looked & felt solid. Only gripes I had were that the fitment was a tiny bit off center and the tips were touching the right side of bumper, but not enough to make it look bad, looks so much better than stock. And one of the clamps for the muffler to pipe connection was a tad bit too small, so had to bust out the vice grips to get the bolt to thread. As for sound, it’s definitely got a little bit of a deeper tone and noticeable; but not loud at all (so if you’re expecting some more noise, this isn’t it). But honestly I’m pretty happy with that since I plan on adding some catless downpipes later on and didn’t want to make the M3 crazy loud anyways. All in all this is a pretty solid exhaust for the price compared to other name ... Pretty easy to install, fitment was practically spot on, welds looked & felt solid. Excellent value
The fit and finish is actually quite good. The exhaust fit well and bolted right up. I did need to put a 1/2” spacer on the hanger to center the tips but that’s not too big a deal. It sounds nice, deep and throaty with no drone at all inside the car. The one issue I have is that the resonators in the tips rattle pretty bad. I was about to add a couple of tack welds and quiet them down but they still rattle a bit. This is a pretty big issue as the rattle sounds terrible. It may just be this muffler though. What a bargain!
Bought this exhaust for my '97 328is and I'm really happy with it. It gives a louder, more aggressive sound than the stock muffler but is not going to wake the neighbors and it doesn't drone at highway speeds. None of that splattery sound you hear from kid's Hondas. Bolt-on installation was easy and it fits well except the tips stick out further than the original ones. Magnets do not stick to the very shiny stainless steel and I'm really amazed at the quality for the super low price!Bought this exhaust for my '97 328is and I'm really happy with it. The sound is very quiet, quieter than most might like however for my application it is perfect. Fit and finish is decent for the price. Don't expect Dinan or AA quality here.
